Hypnotherapy
According to Bruce Lipton “ our thoughts are mainly controlled by our subconscious which is largely formed before the age of 6, and you cannot change the subconscious mind by just thinking about it. That’s why the power of positive thinking will not work for most people. The subconscious mind is like a tape player. Until you change the tape , it will not change.”
Hypnotherapy is an effective way to bring about a change in your subconscious . As compared to other therapies hypnotherapy has a success rate of 93%.
In hypnotherapy, a person is required to be deeply relaxed so that their critical or thinking mind can be bypassed and they can connect with their subconscious mind. In hypnosis a person is highly suggestible and in this suggestible state of mind a person can make more effective and lasting changes to their subconscious mind.
Hypnotherapy is highly effective in pain control and to help overcome addictions such as smoking and drinking or overeating . Hypnotherapy is considered effective as it tackles the root of the problem ( at a subconscious level) and not just the symptoms and provides long lasting changes.
Most of the time we indulge in overeating is due to emotional factors. No matter how many times we try to stop the habit we are unable to due to emotional connection. People have a deep connection with food . Some people eat because of their cultural upbringing and attachment to food. In some cultures food is a very important aspect of celebrations and food is used as comfort to overcome grief. Some people have grown up in an environment of scarcity and are expected to finish everything on their plate. They grow up linking shame or guilt with food . Some people have an emotional connection with food. They use food to overcome negative emotions . any time they feel stressed , low or depressed they tend to eat to feel happy . Sometimes when a person suffers from unresolved trauma it can lead to binge eating to make themselves feel better or to repress the bad emotions . Through hypnotherapy, the hypnotherapist can help you find out the triggers for overeating. Once the triggers are identified , the hypnotherapist can then assist you to overcome those triggers , improve your relationship with food and help you make healthier food choices .
Insomnia or not getting enough sleep is a very common problem. Lack of sleep can further lead to depression, weight gain, memory loss and poor concentration. Hypnotherapy has proven to be highly effective in curing insomnia . Sleep is basically stillness of the conscious mind , hence positive suggestions are given to the subconscious mind during hypnotherapy so that the person can relax and let go of the anxiety that sleeplessness can cause and have a good restful sleep.
Pain is usually an indicator that there is something wrong with our body but sometimes even if our body has healed our mind continues to relay pain signals or sometimes the pain is excruciating even after taking medication. Hypnotherapy can be used to turn down the pain to a level which is bearable and it can also help switch off the pain before a surgery or to ease birthing .
Depression is not just feeling sad. It affects your mental and physical being. Depressed people not only lack the energy to perform their daily tasks but also lack the motivation .they are simply not interested in performing various activities even if doing them might provide them pleasure or happiness. Going to a counsellor to talk about the symptoms or feelings may provide temporary relief but for a permanent solution a person needs to resolve the deeper underlying causes of depression. With hypnotherapy we can connect to the subconscious mind and identify and release the traumatic experiences, unresolved issues, memories and stored emotions. Once these self- damaging thoughts and behaviours have been resolved, the hypnotherapist can then give positive suggestions to the subconscious mind.

Some take time off from work and daily routine , some go in for counselling and stress management sessions while some take medication to cope with stress. All these solutions are effective to some extent but do not provide long lasting benefits . hypnotherapy is one such tool which can help you get to the root of the problem , change the way you respond to stress and help you find resources within yourself to deal with it.
Hi I am Pooja Mirchandani and book a session with me today to embark on the journey of healing. Remember emotional pain is just as valid as physical pain and if you repress the emotional pain it can lead to physiological illnesses later on. It’s time for you to lead a full life without any fears, addictions or phobias. I am ready to help you if you are willing to change. Its difficult to put someone under hypnosis if they are not willing . The same way you can’t help someone unless they want to be helped. It is very important that a person is totally willing and committed to make a change in their life this high level of compliance by a client during a session can lead to amazing and spectacular results. Remember a hypnotherapist is just a facilitator , helping the client identify and unlock the resources within themselves to bring about the change.
